Bill Kerr, M.D.
Bill Kerr, M.D., is the CEO of Avalon Healthcare Solutions, the world's first and only Lab Insights company.
He co-founded the company in 2013 and leads the Avalon team that is scaling laboratory science into the healthcare ecosystem. Before co-founding Avalon, Dr. Kerr was the Chief Medical and Growth Officer at CareCentrix, a company focused on health in the home. Prior to CareCentrix, Dr. Kerr was the Chief Medical Officer at WellCare Health Plans and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida. Dr. Kerr was previously Vice President of Professional Networks at Independence Blue Cross and regional medical director for a number of plans in Texas.
Dr. Kerr holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas and an MBA from the University of Houston. He earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, and served as a research associate in the Nuffield Department of Pathology at the University of Oxford.
