Walter Sandulli is currently Head of Market Access, Trade and Sales Operations at IBSA Pharma Inc, the US subsidiary of the IBSA Group, a privately held Swiss healthcare company with $1+ billion in global sales and subsidiaries in 14 countries. Mr. Sandulli has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in leading companies (Novartis, Sanofi, Sandoz), biotech (The Medicines Company), and emerging pharmaceutical companies (Fidia Pharma and IBSA Group). His experience spans multiple segments within the healthcare industry (Rx drugs, OTC drugs, medical devices and medical foods/supplements) on small and blockbuster brands.
Mr. Sandulli’s managerial experience spans the range of pharmaceutical company commercial functions including sales management, Brand Marketing (VP positions), Business Development (VP), Market Access & Trade (VP), Sales Operations and Business Analytics. He has launched over 20 new products (6 Rx drugs; 14 OTC drugs), and overseen teams in Canada and the EU.
In addition to his managerial experience, Mr. Sandulli has been an investigator and co-author of five clinical papers that have been published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. These studies collectively examined the use of levothyroxine (thyroid hormone therapy) in real world settings and enrolled over 3,000 subjects. One of these studies, the CONTROL Surveillance Study, was cited in a Letter to the Editor that appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine. Mr. Sandulli was also the Co-Founder of the PhAME Awards, one of the industry’s first award ceremonies for DTC advertising which was sponsored by CBS television and Prevention Magazine. It ran from 1998-2007. Mr. Sandulli was an Italian language interpreter during the 1994 World Cup soccer tournament held in the US. The Italian team reached the World Cup final that year where they lost to Brazil in the tournament’s first overtime final.
